CRAME, QUEZON CITY – On September 16, 2021 at around 5:00 AM, Operatives of
Special Operations Unit 9 under the supervision of PBGEN REMUS B MEDINA,
Director, PNP DEG together with Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, Zamboanga
Sibugay Police Office, 903rd Coy Regional Mobile Force Battalion 9, Criminal
Investigation and Detection Group Sibugay, Highway Patrol Group, Zamboanga
Sibugay, Naga Municipal Police Station and 44th Infantry Battalion, Philippine Army,
implemented a search warrant in Sitio Bait,  Barangay Mamagun, Naga Zamboanga
Sibugay, which resulted in the successful arrest  of Salman Sarahinto Depalubos, a.k.a.
“Mansal”, 46 yrs old, jobless, married, and a resident of the said place. Certain Jessar
Saharinto Depalubos, a.k.a. “Jes’ 34 yrs old, jobless, married, evaded arrest.

          During the search, the operating team were able to confiscate the following items:

a. White crystalline substance weighing more or less 100 grams and has
an estimated Standard Drug Price of Php 680,000.00.
b. Assorted drug paraphernalia;
c. 1 (One) elite shooter caliber .45 pistol with serial number E12012827
with 2 magazines and 2 (two) ammunitions;
d. 2 (Two) Cellular phones; and
e. 1 (One) hand fragmentation grenade.

The search warrant was made by virtue of search warrant under SW-5-2021 for
violation of RA 9165 and SW No. SW-6-2021 for violation of RA 10591.

          As a background, the suspects were involved in the bulk transaction of illegal
drugs that can dispose more than 1 kilo a month. Salman is the number one drug
trafficker in Zamboanga Sibugay and nearest provinces including BASULTA Area, and
included in PDEA High Valued Individual target list. Suspects were also members of
Asmad Drug syndicate in Tenan, Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay Province and a remnant of
Wanning Abdusalam Group, notorious Kidnap for Ransom (KFR) involves in various
kidnapping in Zamboanga Sibugay, and they were involved in many crimes of murder
and extortion. “Mansal” is the prime suspect of killing the incumbent Brgy. Chairman
Abubakar A. Nieto, of Brgy. Bangkaw-Bangkaw, Zamboanga, Abubakar A. Nieto.###
