PNP DRUG ENFORCEMENT GROUP (PNP DEG), CAMP BGEN RAFAEL T CRAME, QUEZON CITY – The PNP Drug Enforcement Group under the leadership of PBGEN REMUS B MEDINA, Director, PNP DEG conducted a nationwide Simultaneous Anti-Criminality Law Enforcement Operations (SACLEO) from September 13-19, 2021, the second wave.

PBGEN MEDINA in his report to PNP Chief, PGEN GUILLERMO LORENZO T ELEAZAR stated that the 7-day SACLEO yielded a total of 43 Law Enforcement Operations comprising nineteen (19) buy-bust operations, three (3) dismantling of dug den, sixteen (16) service of Warrants of Arrest, four (4) marijuana eradication and one (1) search warrant. The successful operations resulted to the arrests of seventy-nine (79) drug personalities, while two (2) died in police operations (DIPO).

This 7-day intensified campaign on illegal drugs led to the seizure of 2,434.76 grams of methamphetamine hydrochloride or locally known as Shabu. On the other hand, 794,450 pieces of marijuana plants were uprooted while 235,030 grams of marijuana dried leaves were burned and destroyed, and 1,400 milliliter hashish marijuana oil were confiscated. The seized illegal substances declared an estimated Standard Drug Price of Php 203,957,968.00

Also, six (6) assorted firearms with ammunitions and one (1) hand grenade were recovered during the 7-day intensified anti-illegal drug operations.

Cases for violations of Republic Act 9165 and Republic Act 10591 were filed against the drug personalities, while confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to the respective Special Operations Unit primary responsible in the conduct of the operations.

PBGEN MEDINA applauded the DEG operatives for their untiring efforts as a proof for their notable accomplishments in the nationwide SACLEO, thus, he stated, “Hindi kailanman mapapagod ang ating mga kapulisan sa pagtugis sa mga nagpapakalat ng ilegal na droga na siyang sumisira sa kinabukasan ng mga nagiging biktima nito, alinsunod na din sa direktiba ni PNP Chief PGEN ELEAZAR”. ###
