PNP DRUG ENFORCEMENT GROUP (PNP DEG), CAMP BGEN RAFAEL T CRAME, QUEZON CITY–On March 14, 2021 at around 03:10 PM personnel of Special Operation Unit 5, led by PLTCOLWARREN E DABLO under the direct supervision of PBGEN RONALD O LEE, Director, PNP DEG together with together with CIU, Mandaue City Police Office conducted buy-bustoperation atNo. 1, Wood Pecker St., Sto. Nino Village, Mandaue Citywhich resulted to the arrest of the following:

  1. John Andre Gumban a.k.a. “Andut“, 43 years old, married; and
  2. Russel Rama a.k.a. “Kino“, 48 years old, married boarding house lessor, both are residents of No. 1 Woodpecker St., Mandaue City.

During the operation operating team were able to confiscate the following items:

  1. More or less 65 grams of white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu with estimated Standard Drug Price of 442,000.00pesos;
  2. One (1) Beretta (short firearm) w/ serial no. MOD 92FS- CAL 9mm parabellum – patented (BER 430027Z);
  3. One (1) SAIGA-12K (long firearm) w/ serial number 809481162;
  4. One (1) Rifle AK22 (long firearm) w/serial no. 033514;
  5. One (1) RUGGER RANCH RIFLE CAL. 223 (long firearm) w/serial no.  187-62761;
  6. Webley rebel- Airgun and;
  7. Assorted ammunition of short and long firearms.

Accordingly, both suspects are connected to Richard Go who is now detained at Cebu City Jail who is also involve in illegal drugs transaction in Cebu City.

            Arrested suspects are now under the custody of SOU 5, PNP DEG for documentation and proper disposition while complaint for the violation of Section 5 and 11 of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) is being prepared against Russel Rama and  complaint for violation of Section 5 and 11 of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) and violation of RA 10591 (An Act Providing for A Comprehensive Law on Firearms and Ammunition and Providing Penalties for Violations Thereof) is being prepared against John Andre Gumban.             PBGEN LEE tapped the shoulders of the operatives for a job well done and encourage them to continue their enthusiasm and dedication to duty in making the Philippines a drug free country.###
