PNP DRUG ENFORCEMENT GROUP (PNP DEG), CAMP BGEN RAFAEL T CRAME, QUEZON CITY – The PNP Drug Enforcement Group under the leadership of PBGEN REMUS B MEDINA, Director, PNP DEG conducted a nationwide Simultaneous Anti-Criminality Law Enforcement Operations (SACLEO) from August 1 to 8, 2021. 

PBGEN MEDINA in his report to PNP Chief, PGEN GUILLERMO LORENZO T ELEAZAR stated that the 8-day SACLEO yielded a total of 34 Law Enforcement Operations comprising seventeen (17) buy-bust operations, sixteen (16) service of Warrants of Arrest and one (1) marijuana eradication. The successful operations resulted to the arrests of sixty-one (61) drug personalities, while one died in police operations (DIPO). 

This 8-day intensified campaign on illegal drugs led to the seizure of 2,692.58 grams of methamphetamine hydrochloride or locally known as Shabu. On the other hand, 225,000 pieces of marijuana plants were uprooted while 420,000 grams of marijuana dried leaves were burned and destroyed. The seized illegal substances declared an estimated Standard Drug Price of Php 113,709,544.00 

Cases for violations of Republic Act 9165 were filed against the 61 arrested drug personalities, while confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to the respective Special Operations Unit primary responsible in the conduct of the operations. 

PBGEN MEDINA commended the relentless efforts of the drug operatives for the notable accomplishments in the nationwide SACLEO, thus, he stated, “We will continue to intensify our campaign against illegal drugs to ensure the maintenance of peace and order in the entire country and to reach our ultimate goal of a drug-free society.” ###
